granitekitchen first tested the mid-life revised Yeti in its pumped-up Outdoor guise (the faux off-road version) back in February and now it's the turn of the standard model. The Yeti has so far proved extremely successful for Skoda, and this facelifted version of the firm's crossover hasn't messed with the formula: there's still heaps of room inside and it's refined, well built and comfortable. The interior has also been upgraded.
The 110hp 2.0-litre TDI diesel struggles a little at low revs but has no shortage of punch mid-range, and returns 134g/km and an official 55.4mpg. A more efficient Greenline version at 119g/km and with 61.4mpg is available, but those figures haven't advanced any with the arrival of the facelift and, in an age when the Nissan Qashqai is down to 99g/km, they could do with dropping.
Residual values are impressive at 39.1%, though, and there's a decent level of equipment with the top-spec Elegance model, such as heated leather seats, Bluetooth and rear parking sensors.
The Yeti remains a great, practical all-round car, but low-key revision of the looks aside, it hasn't changed much compared with the pre-facelift version.
