The start point for the best source of fleet information

Skoda Superb One Minute Test

Date: 10 October 2014   |   Author:

This new SE Business range has been launched across Skoda's Octavia, Yeti Outdoor and Superb range and wraps up a package of tech features specifically to tempt fleet. The Superb gets a touch-screen satnav with DAB, Bluetooth, dual-zone aircon and cruise control all as standard.

Excellent

The cavernous boot at 633 litres and rear legroom is difficult to beat, while the extra kit means rivals don't get anywhere near in terms of P11D price. Plus you get an extraordinary amount of car for your money.

Good

The SE Business trim is dark and understated but the quality of materials and switchgear is high, and fleets get a £1000 discount over the standard SE trim.

Average

The forthcoming Ford Mondeo estate is more efficient at 109g/km and 67.3mpg, compared with the Skoda's 113g/km and 65.7mpg.  The difference means the Superb is one BIK band higher at 18%.

Poor

The styling on the interior is quite pedestrian.

Verdict

Any fleet needing an estate needs to consider the Superb as it now makes even more financial sense.
