Alphabet named as a Top Employer

Date: 12 February 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Leasing company Alphabet has been certified by the Top Employers Institute for the way it looks after staff.

The institute recognises employers that provide excellent employment conditions, develop talent, and continuously strive to enhance employment practices.

To achieve the certification, Alphabet was assessed on criteria including talent strategy, workforce planning, on-boarding, learning and development, performance management, leadership development, career and succession management, compensation and benefits, and culture.

Alphabet HR director Adam Lupton said:  "We're really pleased to have been recognised again by the Top Employers Institute in 2018.

"This is our fifth year of being certified as a Top Employer and every year we know we need to raise our game further in order to stay a part of this exclusive club of globally recognised and respected companies.

"We take our Top Employers certification seriously as it not only helps to benchmark our development as an organisation but also can prove to be a decisive factor in terms of attracting a new generation of talent.

"In discussions with customers and potential customers our Top Employers certification is often a topic of conversation as businesses look to develop commercial partnerships with other businesses who share a progressive approach and ethos when it comes to their most valuable resource: people.

"The award is also recognition of the significant contribution of our 400-plus employees in the UK to create and develop the unique culture that we have at Alphabet."

Top Employers Institute CEO David Plink said: "Our comprehensive research concluded that Alphabet provides an outstanding employment environment and offers a wide range of creative initiatives, from secondary benefits and working conditions, to performance-management programmes that are well thought out and truly aligned with the culture of their company."
