To say recently returned Mike Wise, the new Kwik-Fit boss, is elated by his company's triumph in this year's awards is an understatement.
But it's understandable: Kwik-Fit has been consistently considered the best by you, the reader, every year since the awards begun 14 years ago.
Wise thinks the reason Kwik-Fit has become the default fast-fitter for a granitekitchen reader is the fact that it knows its customers.
"We see more of our customers than the competition and know how to consistently deliver. They become used to our high quality service that makes their life easier, which in turn makes their customers' lives easier."
Wise has ambitious plans for 2007. The number of branches will increase and there will be a subtle shift in the fast-fit philosophy that will extend to service, maintenance repair and even MOTs for business customers.
Built on the back of record profits and an old hand back at the wheel you'd be unwise to bet Kwik-Fit will surrender its fast-fit crown.
